Kids @ Taj - How a 5 star upscale historic hotel can be the perfect place to travel with children in

In the heart of the city of Cape Town stands the historic Taj Hotel. With the building being finalized in 1890 the 350+ year old hotel is truly a sight to see when in the city, and while the structure itself is beautiful, elegant and even imposing the warm staff that receives you makes you feel right at home!

We walked in tired, carrying luggage and with a toddler that wanted to walk around in her newly learnt skill. The staff warmly welcomed us with big smiles, made sure Valentina was distracted and after quickly giving in our passports we were whiskey away to their beautiful VIP lounge, where we could have a snack, cup of tea and in a safe space Valentina could walk crawl and discover around.

The rest of our stayed showed us that thoughtfulness was really their forte. We were given a full package for Valentina to play with, an adorable Rhino backpack and more!

Our room had a beautiful view of Table Mountain from everywhere including the bathtub! It was spacious comfortable and with all the modern amenities. Their terrace was the perfect spot to have breakfast or enjoy the sunset.

There is not enough I can say about their Spa or restaurants. We have lived in India and love Indian food from all regions, well, Bombay Brasserie blew us away! The place is beautiful, the chandeliers, decor and the food delicious and the presentation was spectacular! If you follow me on Instagram you probably saw my 500 insta-stories and my obsession on the dry ice spectacle of the sorbet. We also were accompanied by our parents who are even bigger Indian food connoisseurs and they couldn't stop talking about their dinners with all their friends! Not one of us left that restaurant without a big smile in our face.

The Spa was absolutely glorious! The massages where fantastic, personalized and the whole experience including the jacuzzi was luxurious and pampering. I could have stayed there a week alone.

Cannot wait to be back to the Taj Cape Town and visit other locations.
